Panopto

Panopto is a cloud-based platform that allows Campbell University faculty, staff, and students to upload, publish, share, and edit media, as well as create screen recordings, in-video quizzes, and other types of interactive learning experiences.

Panopto is available through Blackboard providing a simple workflow for instructors to build video based course content and record in class lectures and seminars without effecting your Blackboard course quota. Log in to your Panopto site.

Features of Panopto

Recording: Record your screen, instructor, or both at home as well as in class (Campbell University approved classrooms with lecterns)
Editing: Use Panopto’s online video editor to trim, cut, combine, and add other elements to your recordings
Organization: Logging in through Blackboard automatically generates a Panopto folder for each course section
Accessibility: Utilize accurate closed captioning

Using Panopto in Blackboard

  • Open Blackboard course
  • Under Details & Actions, the left-hand navigation, select View course & institution tools underneath Books & Tools
  • Select Panopto Video Folder to stick the folder in your course content which will allow students to see ALL videos in the folder OR
  • Select Panopto Video Embed to show only one video in your course content

Record a class on Panopto through Blackboard (on your laptop)
Record a class on Panopto through Blackboard (on a Classroom PC)
Move a Panopto video to a different folder
Save Zoom meetings directly to Panopto Blackboard folder
