Online Collaboration Tools
Campbell University offers two collaboration and online meeting platforms that operate both independently and integrate into Blackboard. See below to learn more. Both require the use of Single-Sign-On utilizing CU credentials
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams combines modern online meeting technology with persistent chat (similar to Slack), file storage, and collaboration. The full functionality of Teams is available to faculty and staff, but anyone you invite can join a Teams meeting. Available as both a web browser application or desktop application as well as a mobile app.
To get started log in to Microsoft Teams from your web browser or download the Teams app from Microsoft.

Link Teams to Blackboard Course
- Open desired Blackboard course
- Hover over the plus (+) icon and click “Content Market” OR click Books & Tools under Details & Actions
- Scroll to find the Microsoft Teams Tool
- Click the plus (+) icon to place in your Course Content (will be made hidden from students)
Zoom
Zoom is a popular online meeting tool that allows for multiple participants, whiteboards, screen sharing, chat, new AI companion, and high quality video and audio. Available as both a web browser application or desktop application as well as a mobile app.
Navigate to https://campbell-edu.zoom.us/ to log in.

Use Zoom in Blackboard
Link Zoom to Blackboard Course
- Open desired Blackboard course
- Hover over the plus (+) icon and click “Content Market” OR click Books & Tools under Details & Actions
- Scroll to find the Zoom Tool
- Click the plus (+) icon to place in your Course Content (will be made hidden from students)
Record a Zoom Session in Blackboard
- When meeting has started click “Record to Cloud”
- Meeting will automatically record in your Zoom cloud
- This will also automatically backup to Panopto
- Recordings will remain in Zoom for 90 days and backed up to Panopto for 3-5 years depending on retention policy
